Ohio’s clean energy resources, manufacturing base and
technological know-how are a recipe for Ohio
to become a leader in the development of clean energy. We urge Ohio’s leaders to
strengthen Senate Bill 221 by - giving the Public
Utilities Commission of Ohio the authority to enforce the advanced energy
standard from day one,
- including benchmarks for
renewable energy development that achieve at least 10% renewable
electricity by 2018,
- holding utilities
accountable by instituting compliance payments for not achieving the
renewable energy requirements.
